KUIS Library has a collection of books in foreign language learning in Japan.
They are dictionaries and textbooks published or transcribed in the last years of Edo period and early days of Meiji period.
You can see some English textbooks for ordinary people in the early Meiji Period.

NIKKEI TELECOM 21 is newly provided.
Full text search of major Japanese newpapers issue by NIKKEI com is available. This database contains 1.2 million corporate profiles, too.

This is a web-based serials-finding tool which helps users to find titles from available databases easily. You can see alphabetical title list or search by title name, publisher, and ISSN. Its title list links to EBSCOhost Academic Search Elite and LexisNexis Academic here in KUIS.

New Full-text database(2006/02/28)
A full-text database "Academic Search Elite (EBSCOhost)" is available.
This database provides full text for more than 2,000 serials. It also contains indexing and abstracts from 3,466 journals.

KUIS Library is evaluating some full-text databases. They are produced by EBSCOhost, ProQuest, and Gale.

The National Institute of Informations (NII) constructed a new academic content portal. NACSIS-IR and NACSIS-ELSБ@have been integrated to this new search system.
GeNii the new search system is now available.
