language education.
"SACLA" (Self-Access, Communication, Learner Autonomy),
the bright and spacious sixth building at KUIS, opened in
March 2003. This modern, progressive, and sophisticated building,
can boast advanced technological facilities, and provides
students with the perfect study environment. SACLA helps to
foster an international atmosphere as well as providing modern
technological resources suitable for the needs of the information
technology era.
The first floor contains the Media Plaza where anyone can
access the Internet on the latest computers. It is also a
place to receive support for research and study. The second
floor houses: 1) the Self-access Learning Center (SALC), providing
both resources and advice for independent foreign language
learning, 2) the English Language Institute (ELI), a comfortable
conversation area where students can interact with native-English
speakers from around the world on a daily basis, and 3) Blended
Learning Spaces, which are state-of-the-art versatile classrooms.
All this, combined with the beautiful setting, makes SACLA
